I still want to dye my hair purple.

I wish my hair did the chunky/curly fro thing, but it does more of a halo, according to this site.

I think purple and curly would look better than purple and halo, it'll be like my hair is a purple sheep ass. I wonder how that will show up.

I love how the internet mostly caters to blond/brunette/redhead people, and occasionally you will see a black hair forum here or there.

I wanted to use either color pulse or color flash, part of me thinks they're the exact same product, part of me thinks the flash will work better than the pulse because it's marketed to black folk.

I do like my hair as-is, it's interestingly me. At the same time, it's annoying because it always, and I mean ALWAYS, looks like I've just woken up and let it go.

That's about all I can do to it, if I were to straighten it, it would floof back up in a matter of minutes. My hair is THICK, and every time I go to a salon to have it washed/straightened, they complain and charge me extra, and then tell me that I need to put massive amounts of chemicals in my hair.

I don't want Sisterlocks or any kind of "loc", I like being able to do whatever with my hair, should I so desire.

The only problem with keeping my hair in it's sheep's ass state is that people are much less willing to hire me. Maybe it's because they associate afros with some sort of "black power" statement? I'm definitely not like that, it's just about the only thing I can get my hair to do short of killing it with heat or chemicals or getting it put into "faddish" braids.

& another idea was to dye my hair green on the inside w/ extensions. That'd look so awesoomee.

I dyed my hair purple once. Not my whole head, I left a layer of brown on top. It was interesting for a while, but then the dye faded and the only color left was the bleach. So I eventually had brown hair with blonde underneath. Fortunately I liked it.

I don't think that because your hair is a certain way naturally it should stop someone from hiring you. If it does, then they're missing out on a good worker.

My dad used to have a loose curl fro way back in the 80's. It was all natural. When I was 2, I had one as well. Unlike my dad, though, as my hair grew out more my curls subsided.

I once went to school with a girl who had a tight curl fro like I'd never seen. She has bright red hair naturally too. I'd never seen anything like it.
