It's a known fact that the U.S. is a fat country. At least 30% of people over 15 are obese.

It's also a now-known fact that there are 100 million minorities in the U.S.

Granted, the population is over 300 million now, but 100 million is still close to 30 percent, I'm sure.

So, what are the other third of the nation? How much of the fat and minority groups overlap?

some of it
is probably people who are relatively new to America, whose bodies are used to food from their homeland, come and eat America's fat-dripping jumbo-portioned food and plump up.

like in Supersize Me, he was talking to a woman on the streets of NY about McDonald's, and she was saying that she was from France, where even the McD portions are smaller than the ones here, and that she didn't get fat until she came to America.
I always found that very interesting.

I don't really know the answer to those questions. I'm sure they overlap quite a bit. The American Obesity Association's website may have the answers.
