Best Buy Sucks even more!(Best Buy is a shithole)
Friday. 1.13.06 10:19 pm
This entry inspired by cpkviperpheonix .
So I found a computer. That I can tolerate. It's actually quite sexy, and could be sexier if it were utilizing its full potential, not being bought from best buy, and i were just now getting rid of my old toshiba. It'd be the sexiest if i had my paws on it now, you know, available for store pickup?
But alas, none of those are true, so its only quite sexy.
So, I tried entering my address for shipping.
You know, the
Room # Slusher Tower
Blacksburg Va, 24060-0015.
And the damn shipping thing tells me that my address is wrong.
That's the address Tech tells us to use. So I try futzing with it.
Street? Sure, I can pull one out of my ass... No Dice, Dearie.
So I give good ol' Best Buy a call.
Now when you need help from them, they give you the "buy stuff from us!" hold music/message. You know, the annoying "Wanna be a hero?" thing from the cheeky bastard that always repeats over the same annoying guitar riff.
But if you choose any option that concerns giving Best Buy money (regardless of if it's their own money), you get a lovely Jazz-y clip put on repeat. They even bother to tell you that "All associates are currently busy, please stay on the line, and your call will be taken in the order it was received."
Big difference there.
So I called the YYGU$$$ (Yay, You're Giving Us Money) line instead of the WSTGAS (We're Supposed To Give A Shit?) line, and alert the lovely person awaiting my hard-earned gift card/voucher to my dilemma. I want my item shipped to me, and no one else. I asked about buying a manufacturer warranty, as I didn't want theirs... (I knew the answer to this, I had to do it to humor Ma. :/)
She somehow has my school email address (bastards are stalking me, I tells ya) and creates me a nice lil account. She enters the exact same information I tried, and got the same answer.
She asked for a street name (I don't have one), and all sorts of other information that Virginia Tech deems Not Important (Yes, they have a big red stamp for that, I think it's applied to anything concerning student welfare or education in the College of Engineering...), and I told her I didn't have one, and that
Room# Slusher Tower
Blacksburg Va, 24060-0015
was the only address I could give her.
She couldn't help me, and said that even if I placed my number over the phone, it still wouldn't take.
How nice of them. They want me to spend more money at their chain of wonderful stores, but yet won't ship me my laptop, because my address is bad.
I've never had a problem with it before, UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL, even from China, I've gotten stuff delivered by them all and not had a problem.
Silly Best Buy.
Don't give them your money unless you absolutely have to (i.e. gift card(s), replacment vouchers, binding contract in which your life/soul/family/firstborn child depends)
Now, on another note.
I got into a bit of racing on the Boulevard (in Col Hghts) today.
I pulled up next to an 05 Mustang, and being me, I had to be first off the line when the light turned green.
I wasn't. :/
So I was first off the line when the next light turned green.
We got to the light next to Waffle House, and I inched forward as to get closer to the white line.
The light in the Turn Left lane turned to a green arrow, and I thought, "whoa! Green light!" and almost put my foot on the gas, but then realized my light was still red. And so was hers.
The mustang was gone... >.<
Hope she didn't get in trouble.
ha ha, yay!! thanks! I feel somewhat and slightly thought about, and a lil special now, lol
but damn, U mean that all of those other places got ur address right, but best buy could not accept it and could ship 2 it, And they leave U on hold for 50 years with that guy and that music? and all of that other shit? Maybe Best Buy could qualify as its own layer of hell even...... hmmm.... maybe that's 2 far of a stretch.....Nice name for those phone lines! lol
damn, lol I hope she did not get in trouble either.
